About Higher Learning Network:

The Higher Learning Network, www.HigherLearningNetwork.org, offers self empowerment seminars/training for the community with an emphasis on learning how to develop and trust the inner self. It evolved over the past 15 years under Zelda Robinson Communications as a result of facilitating Free Self-Empowerment Information Seminars for the general public on a variety of subjects.(www.ZeldaSpeaks.com) As an International Speaker/Trainer/Author her passion for helping people gave her much joy, but she also discovered how hard it was for some parents to get their children into school. Because of this Zelda began searching for scholarship monies.

Zelda was on a mission to help students find their purpose and passion in life because someone had helped her. She wrote a book about it. (The Passion Principles: Pathways to Purpose, Power & Profit!) She then went on to found the Youth Empowerment Network. She began to speak at Career Days at local schools and community events discussing other positions in radio as well as station ownership. Zelda begin to think of ways to incorporate the information she had gathered for adults too. This resulted in the formation of the Higher Learning Network, which teaches youth and adults how to trust their intuition in finding their unique purpose in life.

After becoming a member of WomenOnCall.org, HLN is delighted to have additional volunteers who do the necessary paperwork that keeps the organization functioning. People like Jerri Ann Cheswick who does a great job with clerical and database development. "I don't know what we'd do without Jerri. She's simply the best volunteer we've had. All the volunteers are great but Jerri goes beyond the call of duty. She's so fast with her work we can't keep up with her. We are most appreciative of them all and looking forward to meeting them all in person some day."

With the efforts of volunteers, HLN can continue to serve thousands of people and their families in the Chicagoland and surrounding states. At present there's only one full time employee and a few part time employees who work when they can. HLN's next challenge is to secure an established grant writer and fundraiser so they can hire more full time employees. "With the continued help of volunteers, we can only continue to grow, and we love our volunteers. We trust WomenOnCall.org, and the process of finding volunteers using their service".
