The Polite and Powerful Children's Foundation (PPCF) connected with eight volunteers from various cities through WomenOnCall.org. The volunteers assisted with its fundraiser and two-day event at the Chicago Toy & Game Fair. The women, who PPCF dubbed "The PPCF WomenOnCall.org Volunteer Dream Team," offered their skills to plan the event as well as design and create a prototype for PPCF's "Basic Table Manners Placemat Game & Puzzle." The WomenOnCall.org volunteers helped with the social media marketing and PR and also identified other volunteers who could work two-hour shifts for the event. After the Fair, one of the volunteers who designed a t-shirt for the event added the experience to her professional resume. Another volunteer even joined PPCF’s Board as the Treasurer!

PPCF logged into WomenOnCall.org and searched for its volunteers in the Fundraising and Event Planning categories, selected women who had the professional skills it was seeking and emailed the opportunity to the volunteers. PPCF saw a great response to its need and was able to select eight women who worked both virtually and on-location to make the fundraiser and event a success. PPCF has also sought and obtained short-term assistance in areas such as accounting and web design.

The organization's mission to produce and conduct educational programs that will assist children and youth in the development of communication, ethics, etiquette and life/social skills has been furthered through the use of professional volunteers who help PPCF conserve its sparse resources. WomenOnCall.org volunteers have been highly beneficial to PPCF over the past year as an event and organization saver! PPCF greatly appreciates the time, enthusiasm and respect that the volunteers have given.

PPCF found WomenOnCall.org to be simple, user-friendly and a huge help to a non-profit with a limited budget. The WomenOnCall.org volunteers have become a critical part of the organization.
