2018 Meet & Match Details - February 7, 2018
This year's Meet & Match will mark the official launch of Skills for Good, the new program of Chicago Cares that will leverage WomenOnCall's skills-based volunteerism model and technology platform. The evening will celebrate the merger of WomenOnCall and Chicago Cares and share more details on how volunteers, nonprofits and the Chicago community will benefit.
The event will begin at 6:00 pm with a speaking program, featuring Margot Pritzker, Founder of WomenOnCall, and Leslie Bluhm, Co-Founder of Chicago Cares, to discuss the benefits of collaboration in the nonprofit sector. Following the speaking program, participants will speed-network with 50 of our nonprofit partners on short-term, skills-based volunteer projects. Rotating from table to table, volunteers will meet face-to-face with our nonprofits to share more about their skills and interests and to learn about each organization's mission and available projects. At the end of the evening, volunteers will have the opportunity to begin or continue conversations with any organizations of interest.
To follow up with any connections made that evening, participants are encouraged to visit womenoncall.org after the event. Nonprofits have posted their available projects, and volunteers can select which opportunities are a match. In the coming weeks, we will launch a new platform for Skills for Good and will share details then regarding how to get involved. Please feel free to contact us at email@example.com with any questions.
